Level up your design game with this summer program for high school students in this interactive live online course.
Students will learn how to make photos pop and create eye-catching graphics with Adobe Photoshop, design print and web layouts with Adobe InDesign, and create logos, icons, and other scalable images with Adobe Illustrator. Along the way, the class will go over important concepts for professional designers and best practices for graphic design.
After learning about traditional graphic design, the class will get a strong basis in user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design. Using Figma, today's most popular UX/UI app, students will build clickable prototypes for applications that they can test and refine.
This course will give high school students a chance to build a portfolio, learn the ins and outs of design, and gain useful skills that can be applied in college, jobs, internships, extracurricular activities, and more. At the conclusion of the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion that they can add to their resume and LinkedIn account.
This is the recommended order, but some courses may be taken in a different order.
Unit 1 50 Hours
In this summer program, high school students will gain hands-on experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, the top tools used by professional designers. Through guided instruction and real-world projects, students will explore the fundamentals of graphic design and build a portfolio they can showcase.
Unit 2 25 Hours
Dive into the world of digital product design in this beginner-friendly summer program for high school students. Through real-world projects, students will explore user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX) strategy, using Figma to create polished prototypes and conduct user testing with no coding required.
