NextGen Bootcamp is a tech education organization focused on empowering high school students with in-demand coding and design skills. We offer hands-on programs tailored for teenagers, from complete beginners to those looking to expand their tech expertise. While our primary audience is high schoolers, college students are also welcome to enroll in our courses.
NextGen Bootcamp is proud to be a Noble Desktop partner school, meaning we carry forward Noble Desktop’s legacy of quality in tech education. Noble Desktop has been an industry leader since 1990, known for its project-based learning approach and career-focused curricula. By partnering with Noble Desktop, NextGen Bootcamp ensures that teens learn from the same proven curriculum used to train professionals, in an environment geared toward younger students.
Our Story and Location
Founded in 2016, NextGen Bootcamp began as a summer coding camp for teens. It quickly expanded its offerings beyond summertime, adding after-school and school-break programs to become a year-round resource for youth tech education. Early on, NextGen offered courses both in Manhattan and in New Jersey, making high-quality coding education accessible to more students in the region. Over time, we strengthened our ties with Noble Desktop and fully adopted their state-of-the-art curriculum, solidifying our reputation for excellence in tech training for young learners.
Today, NextGen Bootcamp has a physical campus in Midtown Manhattan (NYC) and reaches students nationwide through live online classes. Our New York City campus (co-located with Noble Desktop) features modern classrooms and a collaborative environment where students can learn side-by-side with peers. For those who can’t attend in person, our live online courses offer the same interactive experience via Zoom, so teens can join from anywhere and still get real-time support from instructors. No matter the format, our commitment remains the same: providing a student-friendly learning experience that prepares young people for future academic and career success.
NextGen Courses & Curriculum
NextGen Bootcamp offers a broad range of courses in coding, computer science, and digital design, all crafted to align with Noble Desktop’s renowned curriculum. This means our content is always up-to-date with industry standards and teaching best practices. The same curriculum that has trained thousands of professionals is adapted for our teen audience, giving young learners a serious head start.
Some of our most popular courses include:
- Python for Data Science & AI Machine Learning: From basic programming concepts to analyzing data, students learn Python, a user-friendly yet powerful language popular in software development, data science, and automation. This course covers coding fundamentals and introduces data science techniques, making tech skills both accessible and highly relevant.
- Java Programming Summer Program: Ideal for students interested in software engineering or preparing for AP Computer Science, our Java course teaches programming logic and problem-solving. Teens build a solid foundation in algorithms and object-oriented programming with Java, learning concepts that translate to college-level CS and beyond.
- Graphic Design Summer Program: Creativity meets technology in our Graphic Design program. Students master industry-standard Adobe tools like Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator while working on real design projects. By the end, they have a professional portfolio of design work to showcase their skills, whether for school art supplements or future internships.
- Computer Science Summer Certificate Program: In this comprehensive summer program, high school students learn the fundamentals of computer science by studying both Java and Python, two of the most widely taught and in-demand programming languages. Students begin by exploring programming logic and problem-solving through Java, building a foundation that supports AP Computer Science readiness and college-level coursework. They then dive into Python for data science and machine learning, gaining hands-on experience with data analysis, visualization, and basic AI concepts.
- Excel, Finance, & Investing Summer Program: This live online course teaches high school students essential business skills through a hands-on introduction to Microsoft Excel, finance, and stock market investing. Students develop fluency with Excel, from creating charts and using formulas to building PivotTables and recording macros. Alongside these technical skills, students learn the core concepts of finance, such as valuation, financial statements, and investment strategies.
NextGen Bootcamp also offers courses in web development and video editing, among others. Each course is taught with the same commitment to quality and student engagement. And because our curriculum is synchronized with Noble Desktop’s, a student in a NextGen class is essentially getting the exact training an adult professional would, delivered in a format optimized for younger learners.
Why Choose NextGen Bootcamp?
We know teens and parents have many options for tech education. Here’s what sets NextGen Bootcamp apart from the rest:
- Expert Instructors: Learn from passionate, experienced teachers who are experts in their fields. Our instructors make complex topics accessible and fun for high school students, bringing real-world experience in coding, design, and more.
- Career-Oriented Skills: We focus on practical, career-oriented skills that students can use in college and future jobs. From day one, students work on projects that mirror real-world tasks, like building websites, coding applications, and designing graphics, so they develop a portfolio of work to show for their skills.
- Project-Based Learning: At NextGen, learning is active. Hands-on, project-based lessons are at the core of every course. Instead of just listening to lectures, students immediately apply what they learn by creating apps, games, designs, and more. This immersive approach keeps classes engaging and helps knowledge stick.
- Small Class Sizes: We believe in personal attention. That’s why all of our courses maintain small class sizes, approximately an 8:1 student-to-teacher ratio, to make sure every student gets support and feedback. In our classes, no one gets left behind, and instructors can tailor their guidance to each student’s needs.
- Supportive Community: Designed for teens, our programs foster a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Students get to learn alongside peers who share similar interests, making it easy to collaborate on projects and form new friendships. Our staff understands the high school perspective and creates a low-pressure environment where it’s okay to ask questions.
